Terms of service

Last updated October 3, 2026

This is a starting template. Have it reviewed by qualified counsel for your jurisdiction before launch.

1. The service

Dormly provides hosted software for managing hostel operations ("the Service") to organizations ("Customers") and the users they authorize.

2. Accounts and organizations

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide, for keeping credentials secure, and for all activity under your organization's account.

Organization administrators control which users can access their workspace and with which role.

3. Free trial and subscriptions

New organizations receive a 10-day free trial. No charges are made during the trial.

Paid subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. If a trial ends without a subscription, or a subscription lapses, the workspace becomes read-only until a subscription is activated.

Fees are processed by Stripe. Prices exclude applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

4. Customer data

Customers retain ownership of all data they submit. We process it solely to provide the Service and as described in our Privacy Policy.

Customers are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and process the personal data of their residents and staff.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to break the law, infringe others' rights, attempt to access other organizations' data, or interfere with the Service's operation.

6. Liability

The Service is provided on an "as is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees paid in the twelve months before the claim.
